Add page numbers

Number the pages of reports, theses and bundles so readers can find their way around — with the style and position you choose.

How to add page numbers

  1. Choose your PDF.
  2. Choose where numbers go, the format, the first number and the font size.
  3. Click “Add page numbers” and download the numbered PDF.

Your files stay private

Add page numbers runs entirely in your browser. Your documents are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.

Frequently asked questions

Can I skip the cover page?

Yes. Tick “Leave the first page unnumbered” and numbering starts on page two.

Can numbering start at a number other than 1?

Yes. Set “First number” to any value — useful when the PDF is one part of a larger document.

Does it change anything else in my PDF?

No. Only the page numbers are added; the rest of each page stays exactly as it was.
